GI WIRE

GI Wire- Galvanized iron wire is widely used for all kinds of fencing. Galvanization (the process of coating steel or iron with a protective zinc coating to prevent rusting) is divided into two types: electroplated galvanization and hot dip galvanization. GI wire that has been hot dipped has superior corrosion resistance than GI wire that has been electroplated. The diameter/thickness of GI wire is measured in SWG, whereas the length is measured in metres (standard wire gauge). SWG stands for Standard Wire Gauge, which is a British standard for measuring wire thickness.
